Monica Spangler
Loan Modification Processor

I have worked in the mortgage industry since 1991 under broker Cara Milgate. When the mortgage meltdown happened in 2008, we found that many of our clients needed to refinance but could not, mainly because their property values had dropped too much and they had no equity, or were under water. In February 2009 we decided to help out our clients by offering loan modification submissions. We had an extensive background doing mortgage loans and knew how to talk with the lenders so it turned out to be an easy and natural progression into loan modifications. Over the last 2 years we have had many successes and have helped hundreds of our clients avoid foreclosure and keep their homes. This is the most stressful but definitely the most rewarding job I have ever had!

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication with a minor in Business Administration. I hold a Real Estate Salesperson license and a Notary Public commission. I enjoy taking care of my family, cooking, wines and traveling with my husband Scott, daughter Scarlett and son Scotty.

Sheila Spangler
Loan Modification Processor

My work history has seen me do a bit of everything. After two years in Junior College to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, I hit the job world and never looked back. I have worked in corporate offices for over 10 years, at which point I jumped ship in 1983, moved to Colorado for 3 years to run a hunting camp and raise horses. I then moved to Nevada to work in a silver mine for 4 years. I became really homesick for my family so I returned to California in 1990. I began working in the real estate business with my sister’s Cara and Shawn. They had their own brokerage firm. When the market turned in 2008, Cara and Shawn, being the aggressive ladies they are, got their team involved with loan modifications in 2009, which has led to me working for an attorney, Kristy Hernandez. I have my real estate license and notary license.

My hobbies are doing anything with my family. I am a member of the Fremont Elks Lodge where I was the first lady president, currently I am the treasurer. I am a member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution. I love horses, love to hunt, love to travel, which I did with my late father and we were able to visit 42 states and 3 Provinces together before he became ill. I have been to Europe several times and on multiple numbers of cruises in this wonderful world we live in.
